Labor Day at the zoo

We went to the San Francisco Zoo for Labor Day, along with most of the other families in the Bay Area. I had the best time ever! My favorite animals were the lemurs and the ducks. I waved and waved and waved to the lemurs, but I don't think they could see me because they didn't wave back. Same with the ducks. The goats were okay, but I definitely wasn't going to touch them.

So much in common

Cora and I have more in common than just things we like to put in our mouths. For example, we both weigh 20 pounds. And we like a bunch of the same things. Like toys...

And playing with things that Mom says aren't supposed to be toys...

And sticking out our tongues...

P.S. It's been super hot here lately. It's finally summer, and I'm glad I finally get to wear all the summer stuff Auntie Jen gave me - like this super cute dress!

Still rockin'

Just in case you're wondering, I'm still rockin' out. Especially when I wear my "I heart NY" shirt that Auntie Amy game me. 

Cleaning up

Baths are awesome! My two favorite things to do in the tub are to chew on ducky and to climb up to reach the rest of my toys. Because, frankly, the only thing better than one bath toy is two bath toys.

New best friend

I know, I know. I haven't posted all summer. I blame Mom. She's been working lots. But that's hardly an excuse. I promise I'll post lots of updates and photos to catch you up on everything that's been going on. But the biggest news right now is that I have a new best friend!

Everyone already knows how much I love animals. I mean, two-handed-wave, squealing-with-joy, hyperventilating love. So Mom and Dad said I could get a pet. Maybe a small dog. One that was a little older, and not too hairy. Sounded good to me. I mean, I would have been happy with a seagull.

Well, we all fell in love with Cora. She's a Great Pyrenees puppy we got from the Milo Foundation. Pretty much the opposite of what we were looking for. But she's so awesome! I love her so much! She and Mom are birthday twins, but Cora and I really have more in common. We both like crawling and chewing toys and eating leaves. And we both like dog food. Mmmm.

Teeth

Tooth update: I have teeth! I can feel two of them, but you still can't really see them yet. Two teeth!

Mom and I are traveling. I'm so happy to be back at the ranch. Nana got me a new toy. I hung out with Great Grandma Mimi and played with it most of the afternoon.

Tomorrow, Mom and I are going to Seattle for Auntie Katy's wedding shower. We're on the move.

Early birthday present

I got an early birthday present from Auntie Jen. Teething Bling is the best! I guess it's supposed to be for Mom's birthday on Friday, but I know it's really for me. Auntie Jen's birthday is on Friday, too. Happy birthday, Auntie Jen. And thanks for the bling-irific present!

Memorial Day in Paso Robles

We're in Paso Robles visiting Uncle Jim and Aunt Sherrie and Great Grandma Pat. Mom and Dad made me sleep in the hotel bathroom. It's not as bad as it sounds. And Dad made it up to me by doing my hair before we went out the next morning. Don't let his hairstyle fool you - he's really good at combing hair.

Even though it was cloudy and cold and I didn't get to go in the pool, we had the best time. Most of it was about eating. Uncle Jim took us to breakfast at Hoovers in Atascadero, and Mom and Dad and I had lunch at the Custom House in Avila Beach. And then I slept at Jim and Sherrie's place while Mom and Dad went out and ate some more. Also, I can now eat three times as much in one sitting as I could last week. And I love green beans - who knew?

But the best part of the weekend was playing on the swing with my cousin Dominic. He told me I was the best baby in the whole wide world. I love my cousin Dominic.
